How was your weekend?

Even though I publish the crime map, I’m not living in fear. Lakeland has far less crime than the other places I’ve lived. Living in a house that is practically downtown sometimes I marvel how quiet it is outside.

However, Melissa recently moved to town and she’s already had to face a pretty unnerving event:

Now that he is in front of us he pulled a gun out the driver side window and points towards us. My husband now slips down the gears of the car and high tails outta there and since he is still following us we can’t do much since there is so much traffic.
